Kids Friendly Internet Searches



This is an excellent video that you could watch with your children or students who are learning how to search the internet in school and at home. It shows kid friendly search engines and it links directly to researching school related topics.

Interesting.
Thinking more about the reason behind my blog I realized that many adults and as a colleague stated, older students and teachers also struggle with the ability to identify true information. I found this presentation that would benefit parents, teachers, and older students with the basics of searching the Internet effectively.

Fact or Fiction?

More and more technology is being introduced to young children inside and outside of school. The question and I think problem is there is so much out there for children to research but it is really accurate? Kids can access the internet from pretty much anywhere now. No question goes unanswer thanks to Google, but are they really learning and researching information that contains valid information or just someone elses perception of a topic? This blog is going to look deeper into which websites are really valid and what is fiction as well as finding accurate information that will help parents and children know how to find  what they are looking for because when using the Internet sometimes, It's Not What You Think It Is...
